Since 1988,  426 artists  working in the U.S. and Mexico have received Media Arts Fellowships, with a total value of  $12 million. The program is one of the most prestigious fellowships in the fields of film, video and new media, and is funded by the Rockefeller and Ford Foundations.  In 2007, Renew Media celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the Fellowships program with special screenings and events across five cities.
